Social Service
Indian Council of Social Welfare – Punjab Branch
The Indian Council of Social Welfare (ICSW) Punjab Branch is a premier voluntary organisation dedicated to social welfare and community development. Operating from Chandigarh's Karuna Sadan Building, Sector 11-B, we are a non-profit body committed to the upliftment of underprivileged sections of society.
We serve women, children and families across Punjab through skill-based training, family counselling, awareness camps, and welfare programmes — many supported by SOSVA and the Central Social Welfare Board.
Making a Difference, One Life at a Time
From beauty & skin care training to gender sensitisation workshops, our programmes are designed to create lasting change in the communities we serve.
A 6-month SOSVA-aided course for 25 girls from BPL backgrounds per batch. Participants receive certificates and starter kit hampers on completion. Running since 2022 at both Mohali and Hoshiarpur centres.
Six-month stitching and dress-designing courses for women from BPL families in Mohali and Faridkot. Each woman is gifted a free sewing machine upon completing the programme.
ICSW Punjab distributes free sewing machines to women who complete our tailoring courses, enabling them to set up their own micro-enterprises and become financially independent.
